Member
Although it is a very general term, it has several meanings depending upon the context it is used, in this case we refer to the meaning shareholder of a company. Company members have several rights and obligations, they can make decisions which affect the future of a certain company, and their decision depends upon the percentage of the shares they own. A member who owns at least 51percents of company shares can take a decision without consulting other company members. Members who have a smaller amount of company shares have to attend meetings and they will make decisions or they will take actions only if the shareholders own a total 51percents of the company shares. There are several types of companies, some of them might have only a few members, but others might have even hundreds of shareholders.
